“Just wanted to say a huge ‘thank you’ for Friday, it was an amazing day for both of us and it’s great that you stuck around for the whole event. Many of the guests have commented how friendly and polite you were, and how hard you worked!”
Nick & Juliane
“We had so much fun with you at our wedding and are so grateful that you were able to join us. Thanks again for using your talents to capture our day!”
Ed & Sara
“Both Raj, I, and our families, would like to say a massive thankyou for capturing our wedding jack. I was looking for a modern yet professional photographer who could adapt to the culture shock of a big fat [scottish] indian wedding(!) and that you did threefold. Not only did the family enjoy having you at the wedding, but also our guests :), thanks jack!”

One August evening, in Scotland, after shooting for 15 hours I was in a room witnessing the Hindu ritual of the groom symbolically taking the bride from her parent’s home.
Everybody started crying.
The bride, her parents, cousins, the little kids and the old grandparents. Even Satpal, behind his video camera. My eyes started getting wet, it was just impossible not to. That was the first time I have cried since childhood.
I only recently realised that was why it felt so overwhelming to have been part of the wedding, so satisfying, and I knew I wanted more, I wanted to become a wedding photographer.
I have now taken photographs at weddings in four countries, and I am willing to travel anywhere for yours.
( <- by the way, that is me shooting a wedding in Menaggio, Italy )
Some of what I love is playing guitar, listening to the Velvet Underground, reading Jack Kerouac, Milan Kundera, staying up until late night drinking with friends, classic movies by Sergio Leone & Akira Kurosawa, endlessly fiddling with photographs on photoshop, travelling to places never seen before, David Bowie, Lou Reed, the Rolling Stones, rocking at live music gigs, watching TEDtalks, sleepovers & couch surfing, shooting on film, the sweet sound of Nick Drake, cooking pasta for breakfast or risotto in the middle of the night, avoiding routines or planned holidays & sounding my barbaric YAWP over the roofs of the world (I go wild every now and then).
Please have a look around my blog to see some of my full wedding reportages, and drop me an email if you’d like to see my pricing brochure or ask me anything on what equipment I use, my workflow, or how to cook some mean pasta. Perfectly “al dente”.
